Induction hardening, annealing

MetMax Europe uses its own technology to harden parts (primarily made of mouldings and stainless steel). The technology includes two annealing furnaces and two items of equipment suitable for induction hardening which provide for the surface induction hardening of parts to precise hardness and crustal thickness.

A significant proportion of the parts that combine large quantities of material separation with the expectation of high accuracy require annealing processes between the machining steps, which mostly happens through MetMax Europe’s own technology.

We are able to control the parameters following heat-treatment in our material-testing laboratory, where hardness measurement and tests on crustal thickness are achieved through ground sampling.

Typical parameters:

Annealing furnace (up to 300 °C)

Medium and high-frequency induction hardening machine (100 kW)

Induction equipment

Besides machining, the company’s activities to provide more comprehensive services to customers also include induction hardening. Medium and high-frequency induction hardening machines of 100 kW and the related heat-treatment furnaces have been installed in the induction hardening workshop.
